What's New
  • A new Automerge option has been added, allowing duplicate cases to be automatically merged with little to no human intervention. [Change 00192304] (5.0)
  • Case Merge Premium will now track the performance of your duplicate criteria and offer criteria suggestions based on merge history. [Change 00192304] (5.0)
  • A Date Range filter to Automerge. This will prevent automerge from being slowed down by Cases created far in the past by not considering them as duplicates. [Change 00198610] (5.22)
  • Text, Text Area, Email, and Phone fields now support the "includes" and "excludes" operators in duplicate criteria. Values for these criterion should be comma separated values. When searching for duplicates, the search will look for each of those values individually. [Change 00198609] (5.22)
    • The criterion Subject Conversation equals "Subject, Another Subject" will search for any cases where Subject Conversation = "Subject" or Subject Conversation = "Another Subject".
    • Only Text Area (255 character maximum) fields are supported.
Improvements
  • The duplicate detection aura component has been officially replaced by two new Lightning Web Components [Change 00193026] (5.0)
    • The aura component has now been deprecated, and will no longer be supported moving forward. Existing users will now observe a warning message inside the component regarding this change.
    • Transition guidance to the new Lightning Web Components can be found in the following knowledge article.
  • Updates to the Merged By & Merged Date/Time fields will be made earlier in the merge process. This will allow greater flexibility around local automation and validation rules that fire when cases are updated. [Change 00195312] (5.15)
Bugs Fixed
  • Fixed an issue where the "within N days" and "within N hours" operators would only work on the current date and time rather than the date and time of a case value when searching for duplicates of a case. [Change 00196438] (5.16)
  • Fixed issue where unmerging cases would run into duplicate Document error when reparenting/re-creating original files [Change 00197830]. (5.19)
  • Fixed issue where CaseTeamMembers would not unmerge [Change 00197830]. (5.19)
  • Fixed an issue where setting the "Duplicate Case Description(s)" value to "Add as Public Comment on Primary" wouldn't actually create a Public Case Comment. [Change 00198423] (5.21)
  • Fixed issue where automerging cases were counted as duplicates. [Change 00198584] (5.21)
  • Fixed issue where the "startsWith" operator was giving the wrong percentages in Criteria Performance. [Change 00198609] (5.22)
  • Fixed issue where the duplicate detector would not resize properly in Lightning Console. [Change 00199708] (5.23)
