What's New

Our "Duplicate Detector" component was updated and is now combined with the "Merge with Recent Cases" component and the "Find Duplicate Cases" page. The "Search-by-Text" functionality from that page can now be accessed by clicking the "Find more" button in the new version of the component. (5.63)

Improvements

We have a new "Extend Child Object Permissions" setting that grants the running user access to the child objects to complete the merge process without errors when enabled. (5.62)

We updated the app to support numeric and date localization with Salesforce's new ICU Locale Formats. (5.62)
We updated the component's background color to better suit Salesforce's SLDS2. (5.64)

We updated the Merge Page to use Vicasso purple instead of the outdated orange. (5.63)

Now that Case Comments support HTML, the HTML body will be appropriately populated when creating the merge success comments after cases have been merged, including links to the cases rather than only referencing them by case number. (5.68)
We now ensure that only one potential duplicate exists per parent/child case pair, avoiding the scenario where, after a refresh, the Duplicate Detector component on Case 1 shows Case 2 as merged and also as dismissed since there are two potential duplicates for it. (5.69)
Optimized the Duplicate Cases Utility Bar Component to ensure it successfully loads when large amounts of data are being processed in the "Cases from My Queues" list view. (5.69)

Bugs Fixed

The issue where attempting to use date fields in the duplicate criteria would cause errors in the Duplicate Detector component similar to "value of filter criterion for field 'date_t__c' must be of type date and should not be enclosed in quotes" has been fixed. (5.62)

The "Merge" button no longer overflows the "Merge with Recent Cases (Deprecated)" component bounds. (5.63)

We fixed the issue where the child case of an automerge always showed the "Automerging" status in the Duplicate Detector component and improved error handling. (5.63)

We now ensure that using currency or any other number fields as part of the duplicate criteria doesn't break the component with errors similar to "Invalid field FIELDNAME__c_FORMATTED for Case." (5.64)

Unmerging cases will no longer result in "Field islocked is not editable (csmgp)" errors. (5.64)

Attachments related to email messages from child cases are now appropriately carried over to the parent cases' email messages during merge processes. (5.64)
The criteria modal in the Duplicate Detector component now formats numbers correctly according to the user's locale. (5.65)
Resolved the endless spinner that showed up in the "Find more" search of the Duplicate Detector component when record types were included as part of the duplicate criteria. (5.65)

The "Merge with Recent Cases" component is no longer scrollable when the drop-down is expanded. (5.66)

The "Duplicate Detector" component no longer allows a case owned by an unlicensed user to be selected for merging. (5.66)
The "Criteria Performance" tab for duplicate criteria in the setup wizard no longer displays the "Failed to retrieve data for merged and dismissed Cases. Invalid time value" error when date range operators ("within N minutes/days/hours") are used. (5.66)

The error "Insert failed. First exception on row 5; first error: FIELD INTEGRITY_EXCEPTION, There is already an item in this list with the name Default Field: 1: Name: (Name)" should no longer show up when rearranging the order of the items defined for the Duplicate Criteria in the setup wizard. (5.67)

Fixed the component pop-up error of "[this.errorDetails.forEach is not a function]" that happened when using "within N days/hours/minutes" in the duplicate criteria, also fixing the "An error occurred. Click for more details." error that shows up where the component lives on the case record page. (5.69)

Fixed errors when processing cases with Potential Duplicates that are missing child or parent records and the child object options are set to "Reparent" in the setup wizard: "An error occurred when inserting file 0508c000b347ab274baf0e4f24aaf090 [CANNOT_INSERT_UPDATE_ACTIVATE_ENTITY] csmrgp.ContentDocumentLinkTrigger: execution of AfterInsert caused by: System.NullPointerException: Attempt to de-reference a null object (csmrgp)" (5.70)
Fixed the issue where the duplicate criteria was inadvertently using the "Use Case Value" option even if that checkbox was not selected. (5.71)
The "Search by Text" option in the Case Merge Premium visualforce tab no longer fails with the "[Error is in expression {searchByText} in page csmrgp:csmrgfind: (csmrgp)" error message. (5.72)

Fixed the endless spinner issue when merging from the visualforce page caused by incompatible locale formatting. (5.72)
