You have just configured the Reply & Timeline component for your Digital Experience site (Community Portal), and are unable to send comments out.

Symptoms

The following error is displayed: Sending e-mail with new comment failed. First exception on row 0; first error: INSUFFICIENT_ACCESS_ON_CROSS_REFERENCE_ENTITY, insufficient access rights on cross-reference id: []

 

Solutions

Vicasso has observed that this error shows up when the Community User's Salesforce license doesn't have access to perform 'Send Email' actions, as described in this Salesforce knowledge article.

 

The following licenses currently have this limitation in place:

  • Customer Community
  • Customer Community Login

The following licenses do not have this limitation and are able to send comments out with no issues:

  • Customer Community Plus
  • Customer Community Plus Login
  • Customer Portal Manager Custom
  • Customer Portal Manager Standard

Vicasso recommends that you update your Community User's license and try again.
