File Slayer provides a “nuisance-free” view that replaces the standard Files related list.

If you were previously using the old File Slayer Component, remove it from the page. See this knowledge article for more information.

To add the new Files (File Slayer) component to a Lightning record page, follow these instructions:

1. Go to Setup | Object Manager | [Object Name] | Lightning Record Pages.
2. Choose a page and click "Edit."
3. Search for the "Files (File Slayer)" Component under the "Custom Managed" section, and add it to the page where the standard Files list appears.
4. Remove the standard Files related list. (You may need to edit your page layout.)
5. If added previously, the legacy "File Slayer" component should be removed.
6. Click "Save."
7. Repeat for other pages and objects that you've enabled for File Slayer.

If using Slaybot, ensure the component above is placed in a visible area. Slaybot initiates the automatic blocking of social media icons and company logos only once the component is in view.
