InformationPermalinkHelp Permalinkhttps://kb.vicasso.com/?kb=000005432What's NewThe packaged E2CP Send Email action invocable method has been updated to allow for additional functionality to be invoked. Additional information is in our documentation. (9.64) Create Draft Comments (creation only, no sending)Create Comment Only (with no recipients)Schedule SendAttach files Timeline now fully supports and displays case comments in rich text, populating the CommentBodyRichText field by default when inserting case comments. (9.65 - 9.70) The "Enable Enhanced Editor" setting has been updated and moved to the "Global" tab of the setup wizard, under the name "Enable Rich Text", whenever E2CP uses the Standard Case Layout Usage Preference. (9.65) New HTML merge fields are available for email templates: History Text (HTML), History Text Inc Private (HTML), and History Text Private (HTML). More information here. (9.65)A new "Add as Note (no recipients)" checkbox is available on the New Comment page. When manually checked, the recipients section is hidden, and comments are added as notes to the case. (9.66) A new "Enable Comment Only Mode" setting was added. When enabled, recipients are automatically removed from comments, both public and private. If disabled, support agents can choose to add comments with or without recipients using the "Add as Note (no recipients)" checkbox. (9.66) ImprovementsIndividual forwarding addresses will no longer be blanked out when saving the setup wizard. (9.63)To draw more attention, the new message notification is now yellow, animated, and will be displayed for 10 seconds by default. (9.63) A new custom hidden setting was added to allow the "Search Custom Email Fields" to use SOSL instead of SOQL to avoid slowdowns on the New Comment Page when enabled. (9.63)Files attached to Draft Comments are now displayed in Timeline. (9.66) The Invocable Method respects the default email template and/or the email template auto-selection rules if no template is specified in the send action. (9.67)Content Deliveries for inline images in Canned Responses are no longer subject to expiration. (9.67)Updated Timeline and New Comment Page preview images in the setup wizard. (9.67)Email to Case Premium has been optimized for Salesforce's SLDS2 design updates. (9.68)The "Enable Account Lookup on Contact Creation" logic was updated to ensure that, if multiple accounts with the same exact domain exist in an org, the oldest one is used by default. (9.68)To prevent blank or non-meaningful comments from appearing in Timeline, the clean case comments logic will not remove the signature when the email body cannot be found. (9.68) Following Salesforce's security enhancements, Connected Apps can and should be migrated to External Client Apps, which are now supported. (9.69)To enhance the app's security for Salesforce Security Reviews, the drag-and-drop action for file uploads in Classic was removed from the New Comment Page. (9.70)Errors related to IP restrictions in the org now display as expected in the "Configure External Client App or Connected App" setting in the wizard. If orgs have IP restrictions in place, that address should be whitelisted to allow for proper configuration of the setting. (9.72)A new hidden setting was added to display the recipient lines on the New Comment Page when "Enable Comment Only Mode" is turned on. (9.72)To help with the load times of the Timeline and New Comment Page, we will lazy-load content when appropriate. Enabling the Collapse Previous Comments Section and Collapse Attachments Section settings can make the New Comment Page load faster. (9.73)Bugs FixedThe error "The apex class E2CP.ProcessMessage failed due to: System.NullPointerException: Argument cannot be null." should no longer occur when creating cases. (9.63)To fix the issue of broken images in Canned Responses following Salesforce's Enhanced Domain updates, a new post-install script automatically runs to find the URLs of the images and replace them with the new domains. (9.64)Resolved the issue when "Outbound Attachment Placement" is set to "Email Message Only" where files attached to a private comment with internal recipients appeared in the Attachments related list twice. (9.65) Recipients are now displaying as expected in the Timeline, part of the "Show Recipients at the Top of Comments from Outbound Emails" setting. (9.66) Fixed an issue where the desktop version of Timeline would sometimes redirect to the mobile version when navigating using the browser's back button. (9.67)Due to a Salesforce issue with how the CommentBodyRichtext field is populated, a new "USE_RICH_TEXT_CASE_COMMENTS" hidden setting was added to control whether rich text functionalities are enabled in the org. This addresses the issue in Summer '25, where if a public comment related to the case exceeds 4,000 characters in this field, the end user cannot send emails using the standard email composer or change ownership with email notification, for example. (9.67)Fixed an issue where canceling out of adding/editing a variation preset in a setting would leave the selected variation in place. (9.68)Errors such as "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'enableCommentChecking)" should no longer appear when unlicensed users open cases with the Timeline component. (9.68)Fixed the borders on the New Comment Page in SLDS2 to be rounded, no matter the display order defined in the setup wizard. (9.69)Splitting a case from a comment in Timeline should no longer result in a "URL No Longer Exists" error in Winter '26. (9.69)We updated our code to make the "Exclude List" setting's matching less aggressive when full domains are added to the list. (9.69)Fixed an issue that prevented the "Status Options" setting in the Widespread Issues tab from properly saving. (9.70)Fixed an issue in Winter '26 where the settings' descriptions in the setup wizard were all bolded in SLDS2. (9.70)Fixed some styling issues observed with the "Public Comment" button in Timeline when it's the only column in a narrow view, and with the "Team Member Role" buttons in the setup wizard when the role names are long. (9.70)Adjusted the colors of the Public/Private buttons on the New Comment Page for better visibility in the Winter '26 release. (9.71)Case Team Members are now being correctly sent a BCC copy of emails they aren't copied on when Email Distribution is enabled. (9.71)Files attached to the case now display as expected when a note is added on the case by removing all of the recipients in the New Comment Page, following the same behavior as the Comment-Only feature. (9.72)Updated the code to prevent errors such as "Apex Type unsupported in JSON: System.SelectOption" from happening when configuring the "Configure External Client App or Connected App" setting in the wizard. (9.72)E2CP now respects the "Edit Case Comments" system permission in Salesforce. (9.72)Fixed an issue with the comment-only banner overlaying the header of the New Comment Page on scroll.
