If you manually upgraded or got a push upgrade for the new version of Email to Case Premium (9.19 and up), action may be required to avoid an error while attaching inline images on the New Comment Page when using the Enhanced Comment Editor. According to Salesforce documentation, the inline images feature requires enabling Content Deliveries to function; disabling Content Deliveries in Salesforce setup should prevent inline images from being created. However, we have identified that the Create Content Deliveries user permission check in Apex was not functioning as expected. The inline images feature may have been working issue-free without the prerequisite Create Content Deliveries user permission before this update creating the necessary Content Deliveries. This update includes a dedicated method to account for this access check discrepancy when using the inline images feature. Once you update to this new version, either manually or through the push upgrade, you must verify that the Create Content Deliveries user permission is enabled for your Email to Case Premium users to avoid any unexpected errors while inserting inline images.

To check the permission, follow the steps below:

1) Identify all Email to Case Premium users and their Profiles

2) Go to Salesforce Setup | Profiles and select those Profiles individually

3) Go to System Permissions and click the Edit button on the page

4) Search for 'Create Content Deliveries' and make sure that the permission is enabled.

5) Save

6) Repeat the process for all Profiles.
