Symptoms

The error shows up in the Email Template tab of the Survey Builder.

Solutions

This error is expected when enabling the "Generate Email Template using SUID" setting. It happens because the "Survey From Object" can no longer be used in email templates because the email's primary record is now the Survey, not the Case. This means the recipient is simply the person receiving the survey, and the template no longer has direct access to data from the "Survey From Object" for merge fields.
