ImprovementsComprehensive Security Model Update — This release includes security and performance improvements. If people encounter trouble taking surveys, ensure the Simple Survey Guest User has access to each object and field (e.g., sharing rules, object permissions, and field-level security). (v5.39) Enhanced Bot Protection — Survey landing pages using reCAPTCHA now filter bot traffic more effectively, eliminating erroneous survey responses. (v5.38) reCAPTCHA — In April 2026, Google issued new requirements for companies using its reCAPTCHA service, requiring "This site is protected by reCAPTCHA" to be displayed. We have updated translatable labels accordingly. (v5.38) Admin Action May Be Required: Organizations using translated landing pages may add a translation for the new label (lp_recaptcha_no_links). Salesforce SLDS2 Support — Simple Survey is now fully compatible with SLDS2, Salesforce's next-generation Lightning Design System. Setup Wizard, Survey Builder, and related components have been updated, including button styles, navigation menus, filter and sort icons, and the merge field creator. When Lightning Web Security (LWS) is not enabled in the org, Simple Survey Insights now displays a clear, actionable message: "Lightning Web Security (LWS) must be enabled for Insights to load. More information." Bugs Fixed"Access Blocked: Requires Extra Verification" — Setup now loads normally in orgs with a Session Security Level Policy enabled under Identity Verification, falling back to an alternate permission check when the policy blocks the standard query. Previously, enabling such a policy caused Setup to fail. (v5.42) "Most Recent Template" Link Fails to Open With Updated CSP Directives — In orgs with “Adopt updated CSP directives” enabled under Session Settings, clicking the “Most Recent Template” link on the Email Template step of Survey Builder failed silently or threw a Lightning Web Security error. This link now uses a navigation method compliant with the updated CSP/LWS restrictions and opens the template correctly. (v5.42) Incorrect Survey Type When Pre-Creating Surveys — You may observe field values such as INPUT_CSAT or INPUT_NPS, which may impact reports or automation. (v5.34) Admin Action: Contact Vicasso for a quick fix. View/Manage Certificates Links Fail to Open With Updated CSP Session Settings — In orgs with “Adopt updated CSP directives” enabled under Session Settings, clicking the View/Manage Certificates link in External Client App setup (or the Email Template link in Survey Builder) threw a console error and failed to open. Both links now work correctly whether or not this setting is enabled. (v5.41) Insights NPS and CSAT Averages Skewed by Blank Responses — NPS and CSAT average scores in Simple Survey Insights were calculated by dividing the total score by the number of surveys rather than the number of actual responses. Null and skipped responses (recorded as ‘−1’) were excluded from the score total but still counted in the denominator, skewing averages downward. Calculations now divide by the number of actual responses, producing accurate results. (v5.40) External Client App Missing — When an org had more than 10 External Client Apps, the setup wizard only displayed the first 10, preventing admins from selecting apps further down the list. (v5.38) License Assignment Error — The license assignment process threw a “DUPLICATE_VALUE” error when a license had already been assigned. The assignment process now recognizes and silently ignores duplicate assignments. (v5.37) "A Connected App or External Client App must be configured to access Simple Survey Builder" — Users were erroneously required to have the “Manage Certificates” permission to access the Survey Builder. (v5.36) Snapshot Field Could Desync When Capture Partial Responses Was Enabled — When the “Capture Partial Responses” setting was active, a rare timing condition between the Auto Save and Snapshot functions could cause the Snapshot field to display outdated response data. The Snapshot process now respects Auto Save when both are triggered simultaneously, keeping the field reliably in sync. (v5.35) "Failed to Get Access Token" Error With Migrated External Client Apps — External Client Apps migrated from a Connected App no longer return an error. (v5.34) "Cannot read properties of null" During Translation Upload — Uploading a CSV translation file in the Translation Import Tool now completes on first attempt instead of throwing an error.
