Title
Permission Sets
Published Body

File Slayer comes packaged with four permission sets that should be assigned to users based on the access they need to File Slayer.

  • File Slayer Admin: grants access to the File Slayer Library, Files (File Slayer) Component, and the setup wizard to configure the application.
  • File Slayer Files Component: grants access to the Files (File Slayer) Component and should be assigned to both licensed and unlicensed users.
  • File Slayer Library: grants access to both the File Slayer Library and the File (File Slayer) Component. A File Slayer package license is required to access the Library.
  • File Slayer Library Bypass: bypasses sharing in the Library, running actions without sharing, so users can block, unblock, ignore, restore, and deduplicate files they do not own without the standard Salesforce 'Modify All Data' permission. Users will still need 'Query All Files' to locate files they do not own. More information.

Please Note:

  • To successfully block/unblock images and files, users need read, insert, and delete access to the Document Object in Salesforce. If errors are encountered related to SObject Document, we recommend creating a custom Permission Set to open access.
  • Users tasked with org-wide cleanup via the Library typically need standard Salesforce "View All Data," "Modify All Data," and "Query All Files" permissions to access the full range of features.
  • The automated user that processes emails in the Org needs to be assigned a File Slayer license to avoid issues with the blocking of files that are sent in via email messages. For example, if you use Email to Case Premium, the Context User needs a File Slayer license.
  • The old File Slayer End User permission set has been deprecated and should be replaced with the above permissions based on the level of access users need.
