You are attempting to install Simple Survey into your Salesforce Org, and receive an installation failure email with the following error:

No such column 'PermissionsManageProfilesPermissionSets' on entity 'PermissionSet'. If you are attempting to use a custom field, be sure to append the '__c' after the custom field name. Please reference your WSDL or the describe call for the appropriate names.

Solution:

This error occurs when the installing user, usually a System Administrator, has not been assigned the "Manage Profiles and Permission Sets" Salesforce permission.

This permission can be provided though the user's profile, as shown below.




In rare instances, this permission may not be visible in your Org. In the event it is missing, please open a case with Salesforce Support for exposing it.
