Symptoms
You're previewing or sending out comments on Cases or broadcasts on Widespread Issues, and are faced with the following error:

An unknown error has occurred. Error Details: Last Step = submit - calling getComment(), Error = {}

Email to Case Premium's New Comment Page (for both Cases and Widespread Issues) is currently not compatible with Lightning Web Security.

Lightning Web Security is a Salesforce feature that can be found in Setup - Session Settings and is a new client-side security architecture for Lightning Web Components (LWC) that replaces Lightning Locker to protect Lightning Web Components.

This setting is disabled by default, but if your Organization has enabled it, you will get errors when previewing or sending out comments/broadcasts with Email to Case Premium.
 
Solutions
We recommend that you disable this setting. If that's not possible, a workaround is to disable rich text, by disabling the Enhanced Comment Editor in Email to Case Premium's Setup Wizard.
